Situation

We all have to eat. In principle this is a good thing, and so the Healthy Boy Band started a magazine experiment focussed on exactly that: Food in all its shapes and forms. The Healthy Times are not looking for haute cuisine or hot dog stands, but stands for a new, value-based approach around sustainability, equality, and revolution. This gives space for more than just recipes and restaurant critiques. In The Healthy Times you can find out about art, as well as travel, cooks, recipes, philosophy, literature, and death.

Concept

Every edition has a specific and extraordinary graphics concept of photography and drawings by artists who usually can’t be won over for editorials. The goal is to create a concept for a cooking magazine that is far from an elitist train of thought, luxurious design, or hyper-masculinity and female belittlement. A minimalist, typographical approach offers an openness to design and question articles in such a way that they can appear undesigned” in their own way. This openness makes the magazine approachable for the largest possible target group, while simultaneously resisting being easily defined, and it remains free from any forms of affectation. 132 pages without any compromise.
